HOW IS YOUR FUR CLEANED AND GLAZED?
FUR CLEANING PROCESS
STEP 1
The lining is pre-spotted by hand with a solvent and other cleaning solutions to remove any visible stains. The entire lining is then completely cleaned by hand with a cleaning solvent as well as other specialty cleaning solutions, which depends on the age of the fur garment and the type of lining.
STEP 2
The fur is spot cleaned as needed by hand with a special fur conditioning solution.
STEP 3
The garment is then put into a large tumbling and cleaning drum that contains a special mixture of fine crushed corncob powder, finely crushed nutshells and glazing solution. The fur remains in the tumbling drum for at least 20 minutes and up to an hour. (No toxic chemicals are used).
STEP 4
The garment is then put into another large tumbling drum, which is designed to shake out 98% of the fine corncob and nutshell powder. The remaining dust in the cuffs, pockets and colar is blown off by hand with a high pressure air gun.
STEP 5
The garment is now sprayed with a fine glazing solution to put the luster back into the fur. The garment is then placed in a specially designed ironing wheel at 300°F, which removes the nap and loose hairs while electrifying the fur hairs to leave them fluffed and in the finest condition.
STEP 6
The lining is now spot cleaned again, if needed, and then steamed and ironed.
STEP 7
The fur garment is hand combed, giving it the finishing touches, assuring that your fur will retain its soft, fluffy, and lustrous look. Your fur has now been completely reviatlized and conditioned and is ready to wear for the season!
